Bring in the spring sunshine with shades of mint, orange and buttercup

We’re rather enjoying the beautiful sunshine we’ve had in the UK recently and seeing all the blossom blooming on the trees and the smiles it brings to everyone’s faces. It’s made us want to do a thorough spring clean of the house and introduce some fresh new colours and pieces to cast away winter for good.

While Lucy P is surrounded by dust and furniture and piles of clutter in the middle of her house extension (sorry, LP!), the rest of us can start dreaming about brightening up the little ones’ space with fun pieces in happy, juicy shades of orange, yellow and coral, against a backdrop of mint green, turquoise and teal.

If you’re looking to bring something special to their space, Sas & Yosh wallpaper is our go-to for a statement wall. Loving this ‘Flying Journey’ style for a girl’s room or nursery. The Battistella bookshelf adds essential but stylish storage, while some whimsical touches like the smiley apple lamp and hanging pom poms keep it playful against the bolder colours. And would you take a look at that super-reasonably-priced Eames-style rocker from Mini Eden? Want.

I spent last week obsessing over wallpaper, as I'm at the final stages of my oh-God-it's-taken-forever home extension and now I get to do the fun stuff like deciding on paint colours and stroking carpet samples. Amid the obligatory folding down of corners in home magazines and throwing together a few mood boards on Pinterest, I've found a bit of a soft spot for Cole & Son wallpaper, including this whimsical Woods & Stars print. Here's how I'd add some colour pops and quirky accessories to create a magical woodland feel.
