Brilliant bike accessories make for a more exciting school run, after all
My son’s school are following one of those healthy, environmentally initiatives that promote greener ways to travel to school. Luckily, as we live about two minutes’ round the corner, our school run is pretty straightforward (not that this makes us ever on time), and my five-year-old loves hopping on his bike and leaving me racing behind him with his little sister in the buggy as he speeds off, Union Jack helmet standing out brightly, Batman bell dinging away.
Not only does it make a journey much speedier (less dawdling and stopping to inspect mini beasts and sticks), it’s obviously a good dose of exercise. We’re a little bit in love with the stylish Bobbin Junior Gingersnap bike, but it doesn’t matter whether they’re on a trike, balance bike, normal bike, with or without stabilisers, adding an accessory or two lets them bring their own personality to their wheels, making the trip to school more fun. Here are our favourite ways to pimp their ride.

We love to review toys for Busy Bird - but sometimes the best review is just watching a child open the toy and play with it, that way you get their honest reaction. And this is just what happened when we were asked to be part of an 'unboxing' for goodtoknow.co.uk recently. Let's just say Wet Head is no fun when it's Mummy's head getting wet...
